Rescue Story- Pigeon

Fauna Police, on an average gets 10 calls a day for injured birds, the most common ones being house pigeons. We take utmost care in treating these timid birds and release them in the open sky again post treatment. The major reasons for their injuries are kite flying or preying birds.
We hereby request you to refrain from flying kites, which endangers the life of these poor harmless birds. The razor sharp threads (Maanjha) get entangled in the feet and wings of the birds, hence causing them deep wounds, sometimes rendering them crippled for their lifetime.
